Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Highlighted Key Differences Between the Novel and Film Part 2

"Mr. Ollivander, one last thing, and then we'll let you get some rest. What do you know about the Deathly Hallows?" "The ---- the what?" asked the wandmaker, looking utterly bewildered. "The Deathly Hallows." "I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about. Is this still something to do with wands?" -Page 498. Thank you for joining us as we close out the final episode pertaining to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as today we highlight, detail and evaluate the major differences between Chapters 25 through the Epilogue of the novel, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 film! It's been a long time coming and the end of the arc is finally here, as the Riddikulus Crew sound off on what they liked, disliked and absolutely hated about the film adaptation of the novel. So many differences to discuss, and we touch on all the big ones; with Ollivander apparently knowing about the Deathly Hallows, whose idea flying out of Gringotts on a dragon was, Voldemort apparently feeling when his Horcruxes were destroyed, Sirius' mirror debacle and so much more. So have some fun with this one because you're getting vintage Chase & Josh as they hold nothing back. With the film omitting Aberforth's story about his sister, omitting Percy's reunion with his family, leaving out the majority of Snape's memories, Harry snapping the Elder Wand in half without repairing his own wand, and Voldemort turning to dust, there is no shortage of contradictions. With just the bonus episode remaining after this, you can't afford to miss out! As stated on Page 693, "Ron and Hermione seemed a long way away, in a far-off country; he felt as though he had parted from them long ago. There would be no good-byes and no explanations, he was determined of that. This was a journey they could not take together, and the attempts they would make to stop him would waste valuable time."

Interesting Facts with Chase: Bonus Episode Part 9 Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows (Chapter 34-Epilogue)

On the last episode of "Interesting Facts with Chase", Chase breaks down what happened to some of our favorite heroes that were not part of The Golden Trio 19 years after the Battle of Hogwarts. Including favorites such as Cho Chang, Dudley Dursley, and Luna Lovegood. Who is the current Minister of Magic that began her role in 2019? "Parked all right, then?" Ron asked Harry. "I did. Hermione didn't believe I could pass a Muggle driving test, did you? She thought I'd have to Confund the examiner." "No, I didn't," said Hermione, "I had complete faith in you." "As a matter of fact, I did Confund him," Ron whispered to Harry, as together they lifted Albus's trunk and owl onto the train. "I only forgot to look in the wing mirror, and let's face it, I can use a Supersensory Charm for that." ((pg. 755) (Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows)) Closing out the episode Chase breaks down some of the most sought after Patronuses! Cho Chang's Swan Patronus, J. K. Rowling's Patronus and our very own JNelly AKA Josh's Patronus! Now is the time to say goodbye to our heroes. Learn what the cast of our Golden Trio is doing today, including Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint. Albus, Rose, Hugo and Lily laughed. The train began to move, and Harry walked alongside it, watching his son's thin face, already ablaze with excitement. Harry kept smiling and waving, even though it was like a little bereavement, watching his son glide away from him... The last trace of steam evaporated in the autumn air. The train rounded a corner. Harry's hand was still raised in farewell. As Harry looked at her, he lowered his hand absentmindedly and touched the lightning scar on his forehead. "I know he will." The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well. ((pg. 759) (Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows)) The Cloak of Invisibility has been kept, the Elder Wand has been returned, and the Resurrection Stone has been abandoned. "I'm putting the Elder Wand," he told Dumbledore, who was watching him with enormous affection and admiration, "back where it came from. It can stay there. If I die a natural death like Ignotus its power will be broken, won't it? The previous master will never have been defeated. That'll be the end of it." Dumbledore nodded. They smiled at each other. ((pg. 749) (Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows)) "That wand's more trouble than it's worth," said Harry. "And quite honestly," he turned away from the painted portraits, thinking now only of the four-poster bed lying waiting for him in Gryffindor Tower, and wondering whether Kreacher might bring him a sandwich there, "I've had enough trouble for a lifetime." ((pg. 749) (Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows)) Thank you for being the shields that guard the realms of fantasy, and being with Chase and Josh as they have embarked on this incredible journey with Harry, Ron and Hermione. Interesting Facts with Chase has opened at the close for the Harry Potter ride or die arc, but for "Chase & Josh: Fact or Fantasy" it is not a goodbye, but a see you later...

Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Review & Evaluation Part 7 (Chapter 25-Chapter 28)

"All I'm saying," said Bill, setting his hand on the door back into the sitting room, "is to be very careful what you promise goblins, Harry. It would be less dangerous to break into Gringotts than to renege on a promise to a goblin." The second half starts now as we pick up where Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 the film leaves off. Things only get better from here as we hit the turning point in the story in favor of our heroes. Analyzing Chapter 25 through Chapter 28, this episode begins with purpose as Harry believes he knows where another Horcrux is located and how to retrieve it, but in order to do so, he is forced into a bargain he does not like. Some of the key details include; a child being born during this wizarding war, a trip to Gringotts, a betrayal on a deal made, and Voldemort's comprehension that his secret has been found out. So stick with us people, even though we are a little more than halfway through, the action does not stop! With moments such as an escape on a dragon, the realization of where the final Horcrux location is, learning who has been helping Harry through his shard of mirror, and the truth about Albus Dumbledore's past coming to light, you are in for one wild ride. As stated on Page 549 in regards to Lord Voldemort, "The scream of rage, of denial left him as if it were a stranger's: He was crazed, frenzied, it could not be true, it was impossible, nobody had ever known: How was it possible that the boy could have discovered his secret?"

Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Highlighted Key Differences Between the Novel and Film Part 1

"'I'd never have believed this," Harry said. "The man who taught me to fight dementors ---- a coward." Lupin drew his wand so fast that Harry had barely reached for his own; there was a loud bang and he felt himself flying backward as if punched; as he slammed into the kitchen wall and slid to the floor, he glimpsed the tail of Lupin's cloak disappearing around the door." -Page 214 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It's that time again folks, the Riddikulus Crew brings you another fan-favorite "Differences" episode! In this segment we will be discussing the major differences between Chapter 1 through Chapter 24 of the novel versus Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 film. As per usual, Chase & Josh hold nothing back as we dive in and give you the good, the bad and the ugly of what you will find on screen as opposed the book, and we each provide a final grade on a scale of 1-10 based on our overall thoughts of the movie. There are vital omissions, unnecessary changes that affect the storyline, a few additions that enhance key moments as well as additions that detract. A few of these instances include; Alastor Moody flying alone on his broom, the lack of a disguise for Harry at Bill & Fleur's wedding, the omission of Harry's 17th birthday, and the manner in which we found out the sword of Gryffindor in Snape's office was a fake. So many issues affect how the story line would play out if we took the films version of events at face value and we back up our viewpoints with facts and page numbers of the book and timestamps of the film. With the film leaving out Lupin's arrival/argument at Grimmauld's place, the absence of the portrait of Phineas Nigellus, the lack of Voldemort's appearance at Godric's Hollow, the change of the leader of the Snatchers who take the trio prisoner, and the unresolved fate of Peter Pettigrew; you may see this film in a whole new light after this episode. With us here at Fact or Fantasy hitting the halfway point of the final installment of the Harry Potter franchise, you can't afford to miss a single thing. As stated on Page 342, "And then his scar burst open and he was Voldemort and he was running across the fetid bedroom, his long white hands clutching at the windowsill as he glimpsed the bald man and the little woman twist and vanish, and he screamed with rage, a scream that mingled with the girl's, that echoed across the dark gardens over the church bells ringing in Christmas Day."

Interesting Facts with Chase: Bonus Episode Part 5 Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows (Chapter 22-Chapter 24)

"I said," repeated Greyback, and Harry received a blow to the diaphragm that made him double over in pain, "what happened to you?" "Stung," Harry Muttered. "Been stung."
