Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix: Highlighted Key Differences Between the Novel & Film

"Neville Longbottom is it? How's mom and dad?" - Bellatrix Lestrange. Today is the day Chase & Josh wrap up Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at long last, as we discuss many of the key differences between the novel and the film. For our followers who have been with us since Day 1, this is going to be reminiscent of our old Game of Thrones episodes where we get real and raw with our thoughts on how the movie compares to the book between storylines, visuals and character portrayals. In this episode, we bring attention to the many omissions of the film that damage the integrity to the plot and storyline such as there being no Quidditch, no Howler sent to Aunt Petunia, no making Ron & Hermione Prefects and no build up of the importance of their O.W.L. examinations. Those are only a few of the moments we target as the Riddikulus Crew gets rolling on this installment and we don't just highlight the differences, we explain why it's a problem for the unfolding of events, both present and future. So tag along one last time for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix before we dive into Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince next week. With the way Thestral's are introduced, no banishment of Firenze, the lack of Kreacher's betrayal, Occlumency's debacle and how we see Dumbledore act/perform in his "epic" battle with Voldemort, you don't want to miss out. As stated on page 814 describing Dumbledore's battle with Voldemort, "We both know that there are other ways of destroying a man, Tom." Dumbledore said calmly, continuing to walk toward Voldemort as though he had not a fear in the world, as though nothing had happened to interrupt his stroll up the hall."
